I love Widgets!!! I think they're about the coolest thing since sliced bread *snort*!
In New Blogger, widgets are the main method of moving elements around on your blog page. These cute little critters that sound like something out of the Wizard of Oz movie, have two dimensions. They are text units and they are visual moveable units.
To meet these little critters, go to the Page Element tab, in the screenshot below!
As a textual unit, a widget can be one of many types. Here is a picture of the list of different kinds of widgets that you can make on the Page Element page. You add a widget by click on the "add a page element" dotted rectangle that you see in the second picture below.
And as a visual unit, you can move them around the page at will by dragging and dropping them where you want them to be.
And even the elements at the bottom of your posts are a widget and can be edited. The large box in the center of the above picture is a post box, but I didn't get a shot of the edit button on the right hand side of the post box. You click that and you open the box below, where you can change the details at the bottom of the post!
I LOVE WIDGETS!!!!
Make sure that blogspot.com and blogger.com are on your allowed list.
They are still on my elements page layout and they do appear when I click on the blog title.
Can you please kindly teach me how to repair the problem?
With great appreciation! :)

It did! They're gone forever :-(
You'll have to start over. Next time keep a copy of them on your computer in a Notepad file...like I suggested in the post :-)
Classic Templates don't have widget technology, therefore they can't use widgets.
You could put all of those things in your sidebar, but you'll need to do it by adding the HTML code to the sidebar of the template yourself! :-)
now i've got 2 figure out how to do that...*sigh*..
i can copy & paste the html for the widgets...i just don't know exactly where in the whole skin html i should insert it...
Have you decided which colum you want things to go into...You're going to need to even out how much you pust into columns so that one isn't extremely longer than the other.
Each of your sidebars are designated as a "head" in your template code. You've got a "head1" which is the main column. Then theres' "head2", "head3", "head4".
These are the sidebars. after the information that you already have in them, there are two <br> tags. Put one set of widget info in between the two break tags in each section. That should get three of your widgets online. We'll only do a couple at a time,a nd get them to work before adding more.
LOL...never put your email address out there like that!
The spambots troll the internet looking for those @ symbols and you'll get a million spam emails.
If you ever need to put your email address on the internet, always write it using (at)
...LOL...Spambots haven't learned to read yet to find addresses :-)
Yup! I thoughts its a beauty too..=)Found it at www.blogskins.com
But, erm..however, I still have some things missing. In my posts, the 'Title' is gone. There is only the day and date on top. And..At the end of the post, the link/button to leave comments is also not there. Sorry to bother you..but, if you're free and willing..can you help me?..again..=)
If they are give me the URL for that screen that has the demo on it.
And I will work on it later this evening.
huhu...sorry..my bad...didn't notice that..never mind then..i guess, hav to sacrifice the comments button for the nice template..lol..=) you can't hav it all..lol
neways..thanx a lot for all the help! really appreciate it!! =)
and..Good Luck on this blog!!! It has help me..i'm sure, many other people value it too! =)
Thanx!
Thanks to anyone who can tell me how to do it
It is not possible to make them stay, Blogger will not waste the bandwidth.
All comments have to open in another window because blog pages do not have the functionality for encription or login, which are needed for posting!
You could put all of those things in your sidebar, but you'll need to do it by adding the HTML code to the sidebar of the template yourself! :-)
"
what do you mean by this?
can u teach me how to add "following" widget in classic template ?
or do u know the html codings for that ?
I'm kind of a "dummy" when it comes to HTML, so please, if you have an answer, give it in detail.
Thanks a bunch!
If not, I can't help....unless when you call up the Fonts and Colors tab on your Layout page...scroll down thru the color chart in the upper left of the screen and see if it gives you an option for changing it.
